iOS: Go to Shop → Restore Purchases. This recovers non-consumable purchases (such as "Remove Ads") linked to your Apple ID.
Android: Go to Shop → Restore Purchases to recover eligible non-consumable purchases linked to your Google Play account, where supported.
On both platforms, consumable items like Coins cannot be recovered using Restore Purchases — your Coin balance is instead part of your Starby cloud save, and is restored automatically when you're signed into the same account on a device that has previously synced.
Progress is stored locally on your device and synced to Starby's cloud service. If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, make sure your Starby account has synced before uninstalling. On iOS, progress may also sync via iCloud Key-Value Storage. For Game Center leaderboard scores on iOS, make sure you're signed into Game Center.
Go to Settings and tap the edit button next to your username. Usernames must comply with our Community and Username Rules. Offensive or inappropriate names may be reset, and repeat offenders may be removed from leaderboards. To report an inappropriate username, email us with a screenshot.
Go to Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete Account & Data" (same steps on iOS and Android). See our Account & Data Deletion page for the full process, what's deleted, and what may remain with Apple or Google.
Open Settings inside Starby and toggle the notifications option. The first time you enable it, your device will ask you to allow notifications. You can also manage Starby notifications from your device's system Settings at any time.
Gameplay reminders, competition/Golden Tile Cup updates, app updates, and occasional re-engagement nudges. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Check three things: (1) the notifications toggle inside Starby's Settings is on, (2) notifications for Starby are enabled in your device's system settings, and (3) Do Not Disturb / Focus modes aren't blocking them. Notifications also require an active internet connection to be delivered.
Starby runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 15.0 or later, and on supported Android devices through Google Play.
Core solo play works offline on both platforms. Leaderboards, cloud backup and sync, rewarded ads, and purchases require an internet connection.
Purchase "Remove Ads" in the Shop, on iOS or Android. Optional rewarded ads may remain available separately as something you actively choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit.
Rewards are granted only after the ad provider confirms a successful, eligible ad completion. If the ad fails to load, is closed early, or the provider reports an error, no reward is granted. Try again with a stable connection; if the problem continues, contact support with your device model and app version.
Try enabling "Smooth Mode" in Settings → Performance. This reduces visual effects for better performance on older devices.
When your Starby account is signed in and synced, your progress, unlocked skins, achievements, and settings sync to Starby's cloud service. On iOS this may additionally use iCloud Key-Value Storage. To move to a new device, make sure your old device has synced before you stop using it, then open Starby on the new device. Progress made while offline only syncs once you reconnect — if you uninstall before it syncs, unsaved offline progress may be lost.
Starby's own Firebase-backed leaderboards and competitions (including the Golden Tile Cup) work the same way on both platforms. On iOS, Apple Game Center may additionally be available for platform-specific leaderboards and achievements. The initial Android release does not use an equivalent Google service.
On first launch you choose an age category (Under 16, 16 or older, or Prefer not to say), which affects ads and analytics. You can review advertising and analytics choices at any time in Settings, or see our Advertising & Privacy Choices page.

Tip: Check the App Store or Google Play for updates — we regularly fix bugs and add improvements!
iOS: All purchases are processed by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your Starby purchase, and select "Request a refund."
Android: All purchases are processed by Google Play. Request a refund through Google Play's own purchase history and refund process.
Note: Refunds are at Apple's or Google's discretion and subject to their own refund policies; this does not exclude your statutory consumer rights. If a refund is granted for a Coin purchase, those Coins will be deducted from your in-game balance, and items unlocked using refunded Coins may be revoked.
You have the right to delete your account and associated data at any time, on either platform. See the full Account & Data Deletion page for exact steps, what is deleted, and what may remain with Apple or Google.
