This policy applies to SPACE QUACK for iPhone and iPad, distributed through the Apple App Store, and to the public pages that describe it. References to a service apply only where that service is actually included in the version you use. If we release SPACE QUACK on another platform, we will update this policy before that release. The full company details are in the footer of this page.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
SPACE QUACK stores limited information locally so the game and its settings work. This may include:
- your best score and information about completed runs;
- sound-effect, music and haptics settings, and small counters that decide whether an in-game hint is still shown;
- the age range you chose (Under 16, 16 or older, or Prefer not to say), with the version of the age question you answered and a note that you chose it yourself;
- whether you turned daily reminders on, the time you chose, the reminder texts for the coming week and the last day you played (see “Daily reminders” below), and whether the game has already offered you reminders;
- whether the game has already asked you to rate it, how many early runs you have played (for the beginner help) and the highest rank you have reached;
- counters that apply the ad limits in section 6: how many runs you have finished, how long you have played since the last ad, when you first launched the game and when an ad was last shown;
- consent and privacy-choice state needed to respect your decisions;
- your highest score not yet sent to Game Center, kept so the game can send it later (section 5);
- a local note showing whether Remove Ads is currently recognised, while the App Store remains authoritative.
SPACE QUACK has no account or cloud profile of its own. Your settings, age-range choice, ad counters and consent state stay on your device. Your scores are also sent to Apple’s Game Center (see “Game Center” in section 5).
Daily reminders
SPACE QUACK can send you a daily reminder. It is off until you turn it on, and the game never asks when it starts. You can turn it on in Settings › About › Notifications, or by tapping Yes when the game asks “Want a daily nudge from Duck?” on a result screen; only then does iOS ask for permission to send notifications. You choose the time (Morning 9:00, Lunch 12:30, Evening 19:00 or Late 21:30). You get at most one reminder a day, none on a day you already played, and they stop by themselves after a week without playing. Reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS: there is no server, no push token and nothing is sent to us or anyone else. Some reminder texts mention your best score, so it can appear on your lock screen. Turn reminders off in Settings › About › Notifications or in iOS Settings › Notifications.
3. Children and Age Range
SPACE QUACK is a general-audience game that younger players may also enjoy. Because we cannot know who is playing, every player first chooses an age range on a neutral screen, and anyone who chooses Under 16 or Prefer not to say is treated as a child, whatever the age of digital consent is where they live (between 13 and 16 in the EU; 16 in Poland). The age range you choose is not verified.
The first time you open the game, and before any advertising, consent or tracking work begins, SPACE QUACK asks you to choose an age range: Under 16, 16 or older or Prefer not to say. Continuing means you agree to the Terms of Service and acknowledge this policy. SPACE QUACK does not ask for a date of birth, an exact age, government identification, school information or payment information to do this.
Child-protected mode
You are in child-protected mode if you choose Under 16, choose Prefer not to say, or have not answered. In this mode SPACE QUACK:
- requests ads only with Google’s under-age-of-consent and child treatment settings applied, with personalised advertising disabled and a maximum ad-content rating of General (G);
- does not show the Google consent form and does not show Apple’s tracking-permission prompt, so the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not made available to the app;
- may still show ads between runs under the rules in section 6, unless you own Remove Ads.
16 or older
Choosing 16 or older makes you eligible for the standard flow described in section 6. It is not consent: personalised advertising remains subject to your Google consent choices and Apple’s tracking permission.
Parents and guardians
Where Article 8 of the GDPR applies, we do not rely on a child’s own consent: in child-protected mode no consent is requested, no personalised advertising is shown and no tracking permission is asked for. Game Center accounts are held and controlled by Apple, which applies its own rules to child accounts (section 5). If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child’s personal data was collected through personalised advertising, contact hello@ostoya.games and use Google’s privacy controls described in Google’s Privacy Policy and, for the app, Privacy choices in Settings › About (open Settings from the gear on the main menu or the pause button), where it is shown.
Changing your answer
You can make your answer more protective at any time: in the game, Settings › About › Age range lets you switch from 16 or older to Under 16 or Prefer not to say, and child-protected mode applies at once. To move to a less protective answer, delete and reinstall the app (local progress is removed at the same time). After an update that changes how the age answer is used, the game may ask the question once more. The answer is stored only on your device. If you have a question about it, write to hello@ostoya.games.
4. Purchases and App Store Information
Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase made through the Apple App Store and StoreKit. It removes all third-party advertising shown inside SPACE QUACK on your Apple account and, through Family Sharing, for members of your Apple family group (see below). It does not remove App Store content, legal notices, support information or advertising on external websites.
To show, complete, verify, restore and maintain the purchase, SPACE QUACK may process limited store information supplied by Apple, such as:
- the product identifier and the purchase state — pending, purchased, cancelled, failed, refunded or revoked;
- transaction identifiers, purchase date, storefront and current entitlement status;
- whether the transaction is a test or a production one, where needed for correct processing.
Apple processes the payment method and your Apple Account. SPACE QUACK does not receive your full card number, bank credentials or Apple Account password. Because there is no SPACE QUACK account, a purchase restores only through the Apple Account that made it or, if you share it, through the Apple Account of a member of your Apple family group.
Remove Ads supports Apple’s Family Sharing: members of your Apple family group may be able to use it through Apple’s own sharing controls. Apple, not SPACE QUACK, manages family groups and what is shared; SPACE QUACK only reads the entitlement that the App Store reports.
To decide which legal links to show in the game (the German Impressum and the Japanese commercial disclosure), the game reads your device language, your device’s region setting and your App Store country on the device. This is not sent to us or anyone else.
5. Game Center
SPACE QUACK uses Apple’s Game Center to keep a record of your best scores. The game asks Game Center to sign you in with the Game Center account already set up on your device at a quiet moment: after you finish a run, while the result screen is showing, or while the settings or pause menu is open, never during a run. Nothing of ours is shown in the game; iOS may show its own Game Center banner, and you can decline in iOS Settings. Your scores are sent at such quiet moments too: the game keeps your highest score not yet sent and sends it to Game Center leaderboards. The first time you are signed in, it also sends the best score it already had on your device, once. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent; a score that cannot be sent stays on your device and the game tries again later.
Apple processes your Game Center player ID, nickname, score and the time of submission as an independent controller under Apple’s Privacy Policy and the Game Center terms (see also Game Center & Privacy). We do not receive this information and cannot delete it; manage it in iOS Settings › Game Center.
This happens whichever age range you chose, because the Game Center account is held and controlled by Apple, which handles child accounts under its own rules. If we later make leaderboards visible in the game, your nickname and score may be shown to other players; we will update this policy and the app before doing so.
6. Advertising, Consent and Tracking
SPACE QUACK uses these named Google services:
- Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to request and display advertising;
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage consent and privacy choices where required, for players aged 16 or older.
This version contains Google’s Firebase analytics and crash-reporting code (Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics), but it is switched off: it never starts, and no analytics or crash data is collected or sent. We do not run our own analytics inside the game. If we switch it on in a later version, we will update this policy and ask for the required choices in the game first.
When ads appear
Currently SPACE QUACK shows only interstitial ads from Google AdMob, without a mediation network. Interstitial ads appear only between runs, never during play and never over the age, consent, tracking, legal or purchase screens. No ad is shown before you have played for a while (currently at least 8 finished runs and 5 minutes of play), after a run that set a new personal best, immediately after a very short run, or while you own Remove Ads, and the number of ads is limited per play time and per session. An ad that has not finished loading is skipped rather than shown late. The exact rules for the current version are listed on the support page and may change with updates; the protections in this paragraph will not be weakened without updating this policy first. Ads are currently configured with a maximum content rating of General (G) and are not designed to cause accidental taps.
Age and consent controls
- Before you answer the age question: no AdMob, UMP or tracking-permission request is made.
- Timing: right after you answer the age question at first launch, SPACE QUACK starts the advertising and privacy set-up for the range you chose. For 16 or older: Google’s consent form where your region requires it, then Apple’s tracking prompt. For Under 16 or Prefer not to say: the child-protected set-up, with no form and no prompt. The set-up is refreshed at every later launch. Ads themselves still appear only between runs, under the rules in this section.
- Under 16, Prefer not to say or unanswered: child-protected mode, as described in section 3.
- 16 or older: UMP may collect and store the privacy choices required for your region. Ads are requested only when the current consent status permits them. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt may then be shown; personalised ads are possible only if both your Google consent and Apple’s tracking permission allow them. Otherwise any ads shown are non-personalised.
Refusing consent or tracking permission does not block gameplay and is never treated as consent. Where UMP requires an entry point, Privacy choices in Settings › About (open Settings from the gear on the main menu or the pause button), where it is shown, lets you review or change your Google choices. You can also change tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Information the providers may process
Depending on your age choice, consent and device settings, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process an IP address used to estimate approximate (coarse) location, device and app identifiers, advertising data, interactions with the app and its ads, and crash and performance diagnostics. The IDFA is available only after you grant Apple’s tracking permission, which is requested only from players aged 16 or older; for those players, the device identifier and advertising data may then be used for tracking as Apple defines it, to personalise ads. Advertisers may also use Apple’s SKAdNetwork to measure installs without identifying you. Google acts under its own terms and privacy statements for this processing. For more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Storing information on your device
The Google Mobile Ads SDK stores and reads small amounts of information on your device to deliver ads, limit how often they appear, measure them and prevent fraud. Where the law requires consent for this (in the EU and the UK, the ePrivacy rules; in Poland, Article 399 of the Electronic Communications Law), it relies on the choices you make in Google’s consent form. If you do not give that consent, or you are in child-protected mode, Google may still show ads that do not use such information for advertising purposes (“limited ads”), under Google’s own policies.
Profiling
No decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made about you by automated means. Where you are 16 or older and consent, Google may build advertising-interest profiles to personalise ads, under Google’s own terms.
SPACE QUACK does not sell personal information. Personalised or cross-app behavioural advertising is not shown without the permissions and consent that applicable law and Apple require. You can report an inappropriate or age-inappropriate ad through our support page.
8. Information You Provide to Support or an Ad Report
If you contact support or report an advertisement, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to send, such as a screenshot, device details, approximate time or purchase information.
If you use Support inside the game, an e-mail opens with a message already filled in with the game name, the version and build number, your device model, iOS version and device language, to help us find the problem. You can edit or delete any of it before you send. If no mail app is set up, the game copies our address so you can write from anywhere.
An ad report may include why the ad was inappropriate or age-inappropriate and where it appeared. You are not required to provide an advertising identifier, and you should not tap an ad merely to obtain information for a report.
Please send only what is needed. Never send payment-card details, an Apple Account password, government identification, an exact date of birth or information about another person without their permission.
9. Website Hosting
These pages are static. They do not include advertising pixels, third-party analytics, fingerprinting scripts or marketing cookies.
They are hosted at ostoya.games through our hosting provider, Namecheap. Namecheap may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, including IP address, browser information, requested page, request time and security logs, under its own terms and privacy statement.
External links, including Apple’s and Google’s pages, are governed by the external provider’s terms.
10. How We Use Information
You do not have to give us any personal data to play SPACE QUACK. Ads help pay for the free game; without your consent they are non-personalised. If you e-mail us, we need your e-mail address to reply.

11. Providers and Other Recipients
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising without the choices and permissions the law requires. Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by:
- Apple, for App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases, restoration, refunds, Family Sharing of Remove Ads, tracking-permission status, Game Center and platform security; for Game Center, Apple is an independent controller (section 5);
- Google LLC, for AdMob advertising and UMP privacy choices;
- Namecheap, for hosting and protecting these public pages;
- our email provider, when you contact support or submit an ad report;
- professional advisers, authorities or courts where reasonably necessary to comply with law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Before each release, this policy, the in-app text, the list of SDKs, Apple’s App Privacy answers and the SDK privacy manifests are checked against the shipping app.
12. Retention and Deletion
- Local game data: stays on your device until you remove it through the app or device controls, clear it, or delete the app, subject to operating-system behaviour and backups.
- Age choice: stays until you delete the app. We do not hold it elsewhere.
- Consent state: may remain locally or through UMP as long as needed to honour the choice, until it is changed, reset or no longer required.
- Daily reminders: the reminder schedule and your notification permission are kept on your device until you turn reminders off or delete the app. Nothing is sent to us.
- Game Center scores: held by Apple under Apple’s rules; manage them in iOS Settings › Game Center. The best unsent score the game may keep on your device is removed when you delete the app.
- Advertising and diagnostics: Google may retain information under the applicable AdMob, fraud-prevention and privacy terms.
- Local Remove Ads note: kept only as needed to show the entitlement, and can be rebuilt from the App Store.
- Store transaction records: controlled by Apple under its own retention rules, and may remain available so a valid purchase can be verified or restored.
- Support and ad-report correspondence: normally kept for up to two years after resolution, unless a longer period is required for security, accounting, legal or dispute purposes.
- Website hosting logs: kept by Namecheap under its own policies and operational requirements.
- Legal and accounting records: kept for the period applicable law requires.
There is no SPACE QUACK account to delete, and we normally cannot access or restore your local game data remotely. Deleting the app does not delete Game Center, transaction, consent or advertising records that Apple, Google or another provider control independently.
13. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
Right to object. Where we rely on our legitimate interests (see the table in section 10), you can object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, by writing to hello@ostoya.games. For data kept only on your device you can also stop it yourself by deleting the app, and you can stop scores being sent to Game Center by signing out of Game Center in iOS Settings.
Players aged 16 or older can revisit Google consent choices through Privacy choices in Settings › About (open Settings from the gear on the main menu or the pause button), where it is shown, and can change tracking permission in iOS Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully, and may result in non-personalised advertising or no advertising.
Requests about Game Center data, your Apple Account or purchase records are handled by Apple under its own process, because Apple holds that data (see Apple’s Privacy Policy); we hold none of it.
Send any other request to hello@ostoya.games. We may need enough information to verify the request and find any support or transaction-related correspondence. We reply within one month of receiving your request. For complex or numerous requests this can be extended by up to two further months; we will tell you if that happens and why. You may also complain to your data-protection authority; in Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
14. Security and International Processing
We apply data minimisation, HTTPS, local storage for ordinary game progress and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Apple, Google, Namecheap and email infrastructure may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR applies, transfers to Google LLC and Apple Inc. rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which both are certified, and on the Standard Contractual Clauses where the Framework does not apply. Transfers to Namecheap, which is based in the United States, likewise rely on the Framework where it applies and otherwise on the Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not promise a server location that a provider does not guarantee.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when SPACE QUACK, its list of SDKs, its advertising set-up, Game Center use, purchase features, supported platforms, hosting or the law changes. The “What changed” line under the title says what changed in the latest update. Material changes may require a new in-app acknowledgement.
